Alex Chambers joined Ricondo in 2017 and has been involved in several airport transportation planning projects. For Los Angeles International Airport, he has performed Vissim simulation modeling of the on- and off-airport roadways in support of multiple projects, including the Landside Access Modernization Program, North Airfield Safety Improvement Program, and Strategic Operations On-Call. Within these efforts, he has been involved in demand forecasting, concept development, data processing, graphics creation, and client presentations. Additionally, for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, he conducted exit plaza and roadway performance analyses for both the near- and long-term future. Alex also completed simulation modeling of airport roadways for Charlotte Douglas International, Dublin, George Bush Intercontinental (Houston), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, Reagan Washington National, and Sacramento International Airports. He also led extensive data-collection efforts at Hamad International Airport (Qatar), including curbside vehicle dwell times, check-in desk processing rates, immigration/emigration processing rates, and departure gate show-up profiles. Further, he managed the subconsultant’s data-collection efforts and interfaced with the client to ensure deliverables met requirements. Additionally, Alex directed landside data-collection efforts at Austin-Bergstrom and Boston Logan International Airports.
