As a registered architect, Joe Chang is a 44-year veteran of architecture and planning, with an exclusive focus on airports for most of his career. He is a respected thought leader in terminal modernization and development, and he is a key contributor to major airport development in the United States and abroad. Joe provides master planning and on-call services to Pittsburgh International Airport, which includes robust business and financial analysis, collaborative outreach programs, and rightsizing strategies, and also lends his expertise to Minneapolis–St. Paul International, Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall, and Dallas Fort Worth International Airports. He was the principal contributor to the Airport Cooperative Research Program of the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies Report 07-07, Guidebook for Evaluating Terminal Renewal versus Replacement, and his work includes several important visioning and strategic infrastructure master planning projects at John F. Kennedy International and Manchester (UK) Airports, as well as other US large-hub airports.
