Casey joined Ricondo & Associates, Inc. in 2008. He has assisted in preparing more than 40 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents for more than 10 airport clients.
Through his research and experience, Casey created and updated a searchable database of over 900 airport sustainability practices that has guided the airport industry in the integration of sustainability throughout planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance, and concessions. With his knowledge of airport sustainability Casey has had the opportunity to help develop and/or implement the Chino Airport Smart Growth Demonstration Project, the San Francisco Comprehensive Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan, and the Tampa International Airport Sustainability Master Plan and Sustainable Design Criteria Manual.
Currently located in Chicago, Casey also helped ensure environmentally, socially, and economically responsible principles were incorporated into all aspects of design and construction for the Chicago Department of Aviation.
He has researched and evaluated 480 sustainable best practices, methods, procedures, and technologies for stakeholders involved in airport construction or redevelopment projects. Casey also develops content for the Airports Council International Sustainability Working Group Newsletter.
