January 4, 2017: Vision Plan (led by Ricondo & Associates) for John F. Kennedy International Airport
On July 27, 2015, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, accompanied by former Vice President Joseph Biden, announced plans to “restore the majesty of JFK” and create a modern airport with the development of an implementable master plan that includes a comprehensive vision for the future. Ricondo & Associates, Inc. (R&A) was selected in early 2016 by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to lead a team to develop this comprehensive vision for John F. Kennedy International Airport.
R&A worked directly with Governor Cuomo and his appointed Advisory Panel, as well as with the Port Authority, to develop a conceptual vision for the airport to meet needs through the year 2050. Governor Cuomo announced the comprehensive Vision Plan in January 2017, and the Port Authority will prepare a more granular plan based on the conceptual vision.
